J&J Wins Talcum-Ovarian Cancer Suit in St. Louis

Three previous verdicts went against company.

According to an Associated Press report in St. Louis Post-Dispatch, a jury rejected a lawsuit in which a woman claimed that Johnson & Johnson baby powder contributed to her ovarian cancer. The announcement on Friday marked a victory for J&J following three similar lawsuits in St. Louis in which juries awarded a total of $197 million to plaintiffs who had made similar claims.
